Lona Reese

Lona Maxine Reese April 6, 1919-February 15, 2016 Lona Maxine Reese formerly of LaPorte, Indiana, has died in College Station, Texas. She taught school in Rolling Prairie, Indiana, where she met her husband, Wesley. They moved to Gilbert, Arizona where they both taught school for many years before retiring and later moving to College Station, Texas. Lona was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Reese, her parents, Seth and Retha Wood, and her brother, Ronald Wood. She is survived by her daughter, Lynne Higgins and son-in-law, Warren of Huntsville, Alabama; grandchildren, Laura Higgins of College Station, Texas, Shannon Higgins Kekuna (Kevin) of Cedar Park, Texas and Warren Wesley Higgins of Huntsville, Alabama; and her great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Jack, and Sarah Kekuna. Graveside Services to be held at a later date at Rolling Prairie Cemetery, Rolling Prairie, IN. Arrangements entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
