Lon Mcintosh

The funeral for Mr. Lon J. McIntosh, 37, of LaPorte, will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Haverstock Funeral Home, LaPorte, with Rev. Carl Galloway officiating. Mr. McIntosh died Saturday, May 1, 2004, at 7:15 a.m. at LaPorte Hospital. Friends may call today from 4 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the service. Cremation will take place and burial of ashes will be in Tracy Cemetery, Hamlet. Memorial contributions may be made to the family, c/o Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., La-Porte, IN 46350. He was born Nov. 5, 1966, in La-Porte to James D. and Sarah Elkins McIntosh, and had lived in the La-Porte area all his life. Mr. McIntosh was a surgical technician at LaPorte Hospital. He was a member of LaPorte Missionary Church. Through the LaPorte Hospital Foundation he received many grants and scholarships for his nursing education. He enjoyed reading, yardwork and family and do-it-yourself projects. On Sept. 22, 1990, in LaPorte, he married Cama Cooper, who survives. Also surviving are his parents of Kingsford Heights; two daughters, Chelsey and Ashley, both of La-Porte; one sister, Laurie J. of Kingsford Heights; and his maternal grandmother, Esther A.
