Lois Reeder

Lois M. Reeder January 8, 1928-April 19, 2017 Lois M. Reeder, 89, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Golden Living Fountainview in La Porte, Indiana. She was born January 8, 1928 in Three Oaks, Michigan, to the late Clarence and Jessie (Claypool) Lowe. Lois retired as a seamstress from Coddington Clothing Company. She enjoyed sewing and watching sports. On August 11, 1956, in Three Oaks, Michigan, he married LeRoy Reeder who preceded her in death February 18, 1988. She is survived by two sons, James (Vickie) Reeder of La Porte, IN, Thomas (Kathy) Reeder of New Carlisle, IN; daughter, Dona (James) Maerz of Michigan City, IN; three grandchildren, Amy Maerz, Shelley (Carl) Caldwell, Ryan (Chelsea) Maerz; four great-grandchildren, Madison Caldwell, Logan Caldwell, Carlie Maerz, Maddox Maerz; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Tommy Reeder, 4 brothers, Clarence Lowe, Baynard Lowe, Leonard Lowe, Allen Lowe, and 2 sisters, Margart Brown and Kathleen Sempert. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Sunday, April 23, 2017 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, and also on Monday, April 24, 2017 from 9:30 am till time of service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. on Monday, April 24, 2017 at 10:30 am, with Pastor JoEllyn Chadwick officiating.
