Lois O'Brien June 19, 1918-September 22, 2014 Lois O'Brien, 96, of Elkhart, Indiana, died Monday September 22, 2014 at Hubbard Hill Estates in Elkhart, IN. She was born June 19, 1918 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Herbert Blohm and Minnie (Newman) Blohm. Lois had worked as a district supervisor for Verizon Telephone Co. She had played golf, was a bowler and snow skied in her younger years. She is survived by her companion, Robert Evans of Elkhart, IN; sister, Jane A. Blohm of La Porte, IN, and several cousins. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Bernice S. Blohm. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN. A Graveside Service will be held at Pine Lake Cemetery on Thursday September 25, 2014 at 11:00 am with Rev. Ronald A. Brauer officiating. Interment will follow.
