Lois Barker

Mrs. Lois E. Garton Barker, 73 of Wanatah, Indiana, passed away Tuesday September 7, 2004 at her residence. She had only lived in the LaPorte County area for one year coming from Cody, Wyoming. Born July 30, 1931 in LaPorte to Frank C. and Gladys Fischer Pease. On March 12, 1950 in LaPorte she Robert Garton who preceded May 9, 1969. She also worked security for Buffalo Bill Historical Center in Cody, Wyoming for thirteen years. Surviving are one daughter; Jari Arthur Garton Gift of Wanatah, Indiana, and one grandchild Carlie F. Gift. Preceding her in death were her husband, one son Kelly F. Garton and her parents. A funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday September 10, 2004 with Rev. Denny Smith officiating. Friends may call Friday from 11 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in the Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice Care of Valparaiso, Indiana.
