Lisa Christine Parrett-Hock October 6, 1969-August 23, 2015 Lisa Christine Parrett-Hock, age 45, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2015 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL. She was born October 6, 1969 in Michigan City, Indiana, the daughter of David John Parrett and Beverly Jean (Metts) Parrett. Lisa was a graduate of Rodgers High School in Michigan City and worked for the LaPorte County Auditor's Office for 26 years, where she truly loved serving the public. Lisa was giving, compassionate, strong and independent with an unwavering love for animals. She took in just about every stray that crossed her path. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Lisa was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, sister and friend to many. She will sadly be missed by all whose lives she touched. She is survived by the love of her life, husband, Eric J. Hock of LaPorte, IN; two daughters, Alyssia Jean (fiancé, Robert Prather) Hock, Zoey Ann Parrett-Hock, and son, Nicholas John Parrett-Hock all of La Porte, IN; her parents, David John and Beverly Jean Parrett; brother, Steven Andrew (Jodi) Parrett; cousin, Silvano Andrew Martinez; very special friend, Mike Mauer; and many cousins and dear friends. Lisa was preceded in death by her grandparents, Leo and Avis Metts and Leland and Mertie Parrett; aunts and uncles, Aunnie, Andrew, Jane, Roberta, Sy, Gene, Buck, Sue and Don, and cousin, Sally. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Friday, August 28, 2015 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Haverstock Funeral Home.
