Lisa Harris

Lisa A. Harris, 46, of LaPorte, Indiana, lost a long battle with cancer on Monday, January 3, 2011 at LaPorte Hospital. She was born January 28, 1964 in Michigan City, Indiana, the daughter of William Adrian and Joan Frederick Adrian. Lisa was co-owner and operator for Harris Precast and LaPorte Cremation Service. Lisa attended the Countryside Christian Church and First Church of God. She was a loving wife and mother. Lisa liked to make people laugh and enjoyed vacationing with her family. Lisa had a very close circle of friends that she loved dearly. She loved to help everyone, and she left a great impression on people through her long battle with cancer. She was an avid reader and followed the moto "Shop Till You Drop". On November 7, 1992, in LaPorte, IN, she married Scott Harris who survives. She is also survived by her daughter - Zoya Harris at home; mother, Joan Adrian of LaPorte, IN.; three brothers, Alan Adrian of Pine Bluff, AR, Scott Jennifer Adrian of Saugany Lake, IN, Brian Becky Adrian of Pittsburgh, PA; several nieces and nephews, Jordan, Payton, Jennifer, Sarah, Nolan, Nathan, Bobby, Kari, Ryan, Jamie, and Sunny. Lisa was preceded in death by her father, William Adrian. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind.The family will receive friends at Countryside Christian Church 7056 W. 450 N. Michigan City, IN 46360 on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Thursday, January 6, 2011 at the church from 9:00 am until time of service. Services will be held at Countryside Christian Church, Thursday January 6, 2011 at 10:00 am with Rev. Kevin Galloway, Pastor Roger Ash and Rev. Steven Laue, officiating.
