Linda G. Dimmett-Parker June 19, 1961-August 22, 2016 Linda G. Dimmett-Parker age 55, peacefully passed away on Monday, August 22, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her husband, Dan Parker; daughter, Courtney (Nicholas) Tylka and soon to be born grandson, Justin Bradley Tylka; sons, Phillip (Kelsey) Bird and Stephen (Kristyn) Bird; sisters, Jennifer Dimmett and Julie Edgecomb; brothers, Michael Dimmett and Kevin Dimmett; nephew, Adam Wallis and her faithful canine companion, Bogey. Preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Mary Anne Dimmett and brother, Stephen Dimmett. Linda was born in Evansville, IN and raised in LaPorte. She was a 1979 graduate of La Porte High School and went on to earn an Associates Degree as a Para Legal from Notre Dame. On January 2, 2016 she married Dan Parker at their home with family and close personal friends. She and Dan enjoyed traveling and she loved collecting eclectic items. Linda was a very generous person who gave her time to her family, friends and numerous charitable organizations. Linda was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend who will truly be missed by all whose lives she touched. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 26, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Haverstock Funeral Home 602 Maple Avenue La Porte, IN with Pastor Jim Gippert officiating. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Thursday, August 25, 2016 from 4:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
