Lillian Muratori

Lillian G. Muratori March 6, 1922-January 30, 2018 Lillian G. Muratori, 95, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at the Settlers Place in La Porte, Indiana. She was born March 6, 1922 in Knox, Indiana, the daughter of Edward Gustafson and Hulda (Johanson) Gustafson. Lillian retired as a legal secretary from the La Porte Bank and Trust. She was a member of the First Christian Church of LaPorte were she held positions as elder at Church, treasurer of the Ruth Circle, Christian Women's Fellowship, vacation bible school teacher, and Sunday school teacher. Lillian enjoyed cooking, gardening and flowers, traveling and going on vacations, but most of all spending time with her family. In October 1944, in Knox, Indiana, she married Leonard Whybrew. Then on June 15, 1974, in Knox, Indiana, she married Eugene Muratori who preceded in death August 8, 2008. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Smith of Sturgis, MI; son, Robert Whybrew of La Porte, IN; four grandchildren, Geoffrey (Stephanie) Smith of Sturgis, MI, Kristina (Jeremiah) Randall of Liberty, SC, Nathan (Alanna) Whybrew of Virginia Beach, VA, Ryan Whybrew of La Porte, IN; nine great-grandchildren. Lillian was preceded in death by both her parents, both husbands, three brothers, three sisters, son-in-law, David Smith. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, Indiana where the family will receive friends Sunday, February 4, 2018, 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. and Monday, February 5, 2018, 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Monday February 5, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Everett Shattuck officiating. Interment will follow at the Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana.
