Lillian Hallberg

Miss Lillian R. Hallberg, 85 of 1217 Illinois Ave. LaPorte, IN died Wednesday, October 20, 2004 at LaPorte Hospital, LaPorte, IN. She was born on May 30, 1919 in Chicago, IL to Henry C. and Sophia Hafner Hallberg who has preceded. Also preceded in death was a sister, Miss Dorothy Hallberg and a brother Mr. Henry Charles Hallberg, Jr. Miss Lillian R. Hallberg lived most of her life in the LaPorte, area. Miss Hallberg worked at Allis Chalmers as a secretary in the production control office for 39 years, retiring in 1981. Miss Hallberg was a member of the St. Paul?s United Church of Christ, and volunteered at the LaPorte hospital and former member of St. Paul?s choir and women?s guild. Surviving is three niece?s, Carol John Thompson of Las Vegas, NV, Cinthia Hallberg of Indianapolis, IN, Elizabeth Daniel Knies of Valparaiso, IN, Two nephew?s Charles Nancy Hallberg of Milwaukee, WI, Thomas Laurie Hallberg of Goshen, IN, and nine great-nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be at Haverstock Funeral Home on Saturday, 10/23/2004 at 11:00 a.m.; with Rev. Richard N. Henry, Jr. and Rev. Victor Frohne officiating. Friends may call on Friday, 10/22/2004 from 2:00p.m. To 4:00p.m. And 6:00p.m. To 8:00p.m. And Saturday, 10/23/2004 at Haverstock Funeral Home, until time of service.
