Leslie Robert Hedrick, 68, of LaPorte, Indiana, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2022 at Aperion Care in Michigan City, IN with family by his side.

He was born October 9, 1954 in San Antonio, Texas, the son of Robert Hedrick, who precedes him in death and Oleva (Russell) Uppencamp who survives.

Also preceeded in death by his step-father Osga Richardson and step-father James Roy Uppencamp.

On August 14, 1998, Leslie married Barbara (Dixon) Hedrick, at the Glezen Revival Center, who survives. He is also survived by his two sons, Nicholas Hedrick, Alexander Hedrick; step-son, Andrew (Christian) Dixon; two daughters, Kimberly (Carl) Goeppner, Lacey (Gavin) Matheis, and step-daughter Angela (Justin) Nunn; brother, Thomas (Sue Ellen) Richardson; sisters, Anita (Dave) Nance, Tamara (Dave) McKinney, Cindy (Tony) Cherubino; and brother Mark (Linda) Hedrick; sixteen grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren, as well as his step-siblings.

Four years ago, Leslie and Barbara moved from Evansville, Indiana to La Porte, Indiana. Together, they attended Crossroads Christian Church. Leslie had a love for motorcycles, was an avid NASCAR fan and a TV buff. He loved God and his family and reading God's word.

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN. Cremation will take place. The family will be having a memorial service on Saturday, January 14 with a visitation from 2-4 PM and a service at 4 PM (EST) at Victory Assembly of God 4245 Baden Strasse in Jasper, IN. A memorial ride is planned for the spring for his motorcycle riding friends.
