Leigha Miller

Miss Leigha K. Miller, 19, of Walkerton Fish Lake, Indiana, died Thursday March 18, 2010 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN. She was born August 6, 1990 in LaPorte, Indiana, the daughter of Thomas Harold Miller, Jr. and Anna Marie Osborn Miller. She had lived all of her life in the LaPorte, area. Leigha was a member of First Baptist Church of Kingsbury. She was in the 2nd semester at PNC, studying Mass Communication, and was employed in the Communication Dept. at PNC. In 5th grade, she received the President's Award for academics. Leigha was a gifted writer and artist, and was an award winning essayist. She played soccer with the YMCA and was on the traveling soccer teams. Leigha enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She is survived by her mother, Anna Marie Miller of Walkerton Fish Lake, IN; father, Thomas Harold Miller, Jr. of TN.; daughter, Emma-Leigh Renee Sheaks of Walkerton Fish Lake, IN; brother, Jeremiah Thomas Miller of Walkerton Fish Lake, IN; grandparents, Jim & Thelma Osborn of LaPorte, IN, Jerry & Kay Wright of AR; Fiancé, Timothy Williams of Rochester, IN; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Monday, March 22, 2010 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm & Tuesday, March 23, 2010 12:00 pm, until time of services. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Tuesday March 23, 2010 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Dennis Smith officiating. Interment will follow at the Kingsbury Cemetery, Kingsbury, Indiana.
