Lauren "Porky" W. Luther February 25, 1942-March 8, 2015 Mr. Lauren W. "Porky" Luther, 73, of La Porte, Indiana, died Sunday March 8, 2015 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN. He was born February 25, 1942 in La Porte, Indiana, the son of Bernard Luther and Deloris (Diedrich) Luther. Porky was a member of the PRCU, Eagles, and American Legion in South Bend.. He had worked for Delaney Furniture, Tucker's Trucking in Michigan City, Clemons Trucking Co., Royal Metals, and retired from Preston Trucking Local 151. Porky loved to camp, and go fishing, he would drive around the lake every morning. He also enjoyed wood working, water sking, motorcycles and playing soliatiare. On October 20, 1967, he married Carol (Schoof) Luther who survives. He is also survived by his three sons, Dom Luther, Brian Luther, Jon (Amy) Luther, all of La Porte, IN; two daughters, Laura (John) Graber of La Porte, IN, Sandy (Denny) Greene of Clarksville, TN; eleven grandchildren, Scotty Migliaccio, Amanda Migliaccio, Megan Graber, Moriah Graber, Maris Graber, Mandy Graber, Jessica Miller, Logan Luther, Gretchen Luther, Jacob Hunsley, and Dylan Hunsley; three great-grandchildren, Lucas Migliaccio, Ben Graber, and Nicholas Migliaccio; brother, Dale (Margo) Luther of Carmel, IN; two sisters, Joan (Ron) Scherer of La Porte, IN, Sue (Randy) Nowicki of La Porte, and several nieces and nephews. Lauren was preceded in death by his parents and one grandchild, Loren Blankenship. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN where the family will receive friends Wednesday, March 11, 2015, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Thursday, March 12, 2015, from 10:00 am, until time of service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Thursday March 12, 2015 at 11:00 am with Rev. Bill Barnes officiating. Cremation will take place.
