Laura Glossenger

Mrs. Laura Mae Glossenger, age 92, of La Porte, Ind., died Sunday, May 28, 2006, at 12:40 PM at the LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, Ind. She was born December 30, 1913 in LaPorte, Ind. to the late Edward Lotter and the late Hessie Smith Lotter. She has lived in the LaPorte area all of her life. Mrs. Glossenger retired in 1973 after 32 years as the head of the purchasing department of Allis-Chalmers Corp. and was a member of First Christian Church and the oldest member of the Church. She was a graduate of LaPorte High School. She enjoyed attending her husband?s music endeavors, and would accompany him to various music engagements. On February 23, 1950 in LaPorte, Ind. she married Lyle Glossenger who preceded her in death December 8, 1996. She is survived by her One Step-Daughter-Martha James Anderson of Woodland Hills, Calif.; Two Brothers, Raymond Mary Lotter of La Porte, Ind., Edward Lana Lotter of LaPorte, Ind. She is preceded in death by her husband and parents. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 31, 2006. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 31, 2006, Rev. Rick Abbott officiating. Interment will be at Pine Lake Cemetery in La Porte, Ind.
