Larry Worthington

Mr. Larry P. Worthington, 72, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Sunday May 23, 2010 at his home He was born March 12, 1938 in Westwood, California, the son of Clifford Worthington and Eileen Ramsdell Worthington. Larry worked as a captain for Dept. of Corrections for forty-four years. He was a member of American Legion of Westville. Larry enjoyed weight-lifting, collecting stamps and coins. He enjoyed watching western movies, baseball, especially the Chicago White Sox. He is survived by his four sons - Paul Worthington of La Porte, IN, Patrick Melissa Worthington of La Porte, IN, Jeff Worthington of La Porte, IN, Todd Worthington of La Porte, IN; four grandchildren, Joel, Jayden, Taylor and Tristan Worthington, and one sister - Joan Wright of Lake Oswego, OR. Larry was preceded in death by his parents. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held Wednesday, May 26, 2010 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm. There will be no funeral services. Cremation will take place.
