Larry Willoughby

Mr. Larry Leo Willoughby, 59, of La Porte, Indiana, died Saturday February 20, 2010 at his home in La Porte, IN. He was born March 27, 1950 in La Porte, Indiana, the son of Roy Leo Willoughby and Elease McCarver Willoughby and has been a life long resident of La Porte. Larry worked as a Butcher for Bambers Market and Wurster Market and retired in 1999. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, attending bike week in Florida, camping fishing and traveling. Larry loved spending time with his grandchildren and he loved Dozer and Gizmo, his two English Pugs. On June 27, 1970, in La Porte, IN, he married Jennifer Rensberger who survives. He is also survived by his son Larry Jamey Willoughby of Valparaiso, IN; daughter Mandi Steven Ely of Orange Park, FL; and four grandchildren, Noah Willoughby, Madison Willoughby, Brandon Ely, and Chase Ely. Larry was preceded in death by his parents. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Tuesday, February 23, 2010 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm & Wednesday, February 24, from 9:00 am until time of the service. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Wednesday February 24, 2010 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Steven Laue officiating. Interment will follow at the Patton Cemetery, La Porte, Indiana.
