Larry Maupin

Larry D. Maupin February 8, 1943-March 7, 2016 Mr. Larry D. Maupin, 73, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Monday March 7, 2016 at Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital in La Porte, IN. He was born February 8, 1943 in Bogota, Tennessee, the son of Curtis Maupin and Alta (Chandler) Maupin. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Larry loved his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. His favorite place to be was in the seat of an excavator. On December 3, 1977, in Chesterton, IN, he married Susan Miller Maupin who survives. He is also survived by his three sons, Jason Maupin, Curtis Maupin and Kenneth Maupin; 17 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sister, Nadine (Homer) Ables; brothers, Gary (Vicky) Maupin and Marvin (Brenda) Maupin. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister and 3 brothers. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN where the family will receive friends on Friday, March 11, 2016, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Friday March 11, 2016 at 12:00 PM with Rev. John Haferkamp officiating. Cremation will follow.
