Larry Luther

Mr. Larry W. Luther, 74, of La Porte, Indiana, died Wednesday June 3, 2009 at La Porte Hospital in La Porte, IN. He was born June 17, 1934 in La Porte, Indiana, the son of Hobart Luther and Dorothy Cummings Luther. He lived in the LaPorte, area, all of his life. Larry worked as a facility assigner for GTE General Telephone. He was a Veteran of US Army. Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing and target shooting for practice. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. On October 17, 1959, in LaPorte, IN, he married Mary Ann Riley, who survives. He is also survived by his sons, Brett Luther of La Porte, IN, Scott Gail Luther of Lakewood, WI, Todd Frieda Luther of La Porte, IN; three grandchildren, Trevor, Shelby, Tara and one brother, David Luther of La Porte, IN; . Larry was preceded in death by his parents. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Monday, June 8, 2009 from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Monday June 8, 2009 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Dorothy Jones, officiating. Interment will follow at the Patton Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana.
