Kristin Doane

Kristin Rene' Doane January 31, 1986-August 18, 2016 Kristin Rene' Doane age 30, unexpectedly passed away Thursday August 18, 2016 at Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital in La Porte, IN. She is survived by her parents, Henry and Barbara (nee Binkley) Doane and her twin brother, Michael Doane of Kalamazoo, MI.. Preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Duke and Lottie (nee Mitio) Binkley; paternal grandparents, Denzil and Melva Doane and her uncle, Harold Doane. Kristin was born January 31, 1986 in South Bend, IN. She was a 2004 graduate of New Prairie High School and attended Kentucky Christian University and Indiana University-South Bend. Kristin embraced life to the fullest cherishing every moment spent with her family and friends. She worked more than 10 years in the restaurant business and was a staff counselor at Camp Carson in southern Indiana for 4 years. Kristin found her work challenging but most rewarding. She enjoyed playing darts with her fellow leaguers and butterfly watching with her mom. Kristin was a loving daughter, sister and friend to many and will truly be missed by all whose lives she touched. She is loved and missed all day, every day. The sun doesn't shine as bright anymore. Cremation and burial services were held at Pine Lake Cemetery, La Porte, IN on August 25, 2016. Arrangements entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home, LaPorte, IN.
