Kenneth Nordahl

Mr. Kenneth Anthony Nordahl, age 85, of 7584 N. Cherokee Trail, Rolling Prairie, Ind., died Monday, February 20, 2006, at Miller's Merry Manor in New Carlisle, Ind. He was born February 14, 1921 in Gary, Indiana to the late Anton Nordahl and the late Mathilda Nordahl Nordahl. He has lived in the Rolling Prairie area since June of 1963 coming from Gary, Indiana. Mr. Nordahl was employed as the Chief Accountant by Northwest IN. Water Company and was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church. He was also a Veteran of US Army during WW II, and was a life-time optimist. On August 10, 1946 in Gary, Indiana he married Ruth Stolberg who survives. He is also survived by his Two Daughters, Mrs. Christine R. Tim Gesse of La Porte, Ind., Mrs. Rebecca J. Ronald Hicks of Houston, Texas; One Son, Mr. Timothy K. Elaine Nordahl of Glen Ellyn, Ill.; Four grandchildren, Beverly Nordahl of Glen Ellyn, IL., David Nordahl of Glen Ellyn, IL., Jennifer Gesse of Lafayette, Indiana, Jonathan Gesse of LaPorte, In.; and One Sister, Mrs. Helen Sackman of Hurst, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; Two Sisters, Mrs. Mildred Chnupa, Mrs. Dorothy Flint; Four Brothers, LeRoy Nordahl, Earl Nordahl, Oliver Nordahl, and Donald Nordahl. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, February 22, 2006 and from 9:00 AM Thursday until time of the service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 23, 2006, Rev. Dennis Meyer officiating. Interment will be at Rolling Prairie Cemetery in Rolling Prairie, Ind.
