Mr. Kenneth W. Miller, 92, of Rolling Prairie, Indiana, died Wednesday April 8, 2009 at his home. He was born September 5, 1916 in Mill Creek, Indiana, the son of Charles Grover Miller and Lillie Carden Miller, living in the Rolling Prairie, IN. area, all of his life. Kenneth worked as a roadway superintendent; his position was a maintenance supervisor for the Indiana East-West Toll Road for thirty-one years, retiring in 1981. He was a member of Woodman of the World. Kenneth enjoyed working on cross-stitching, building bird houses and working with his hands. On August 19, 1939, in Rochester, IN, he married Helen Sloderbeck, who survives. He is also survived by his son - Charles "Gene" E. Sandra A. Miller of New Carlisle, IN.; two grandchildren, Kenneth E. Wendy Miller of South Bend, IN., Deborah A. Mark Miller of South Bend, IN.; two great-grandchildren, Kaitie Miller of South Bend, IN. and Kallie Miller of South Bend, IN. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Clyde Miller Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends on Friday, April 10, 2009 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and 10:00 am Saturday, April 11, 2009, until time of service. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home on Saturday, April 11, 2009 at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Mill Creek, Indiana.
