Jurlene "Jeri" Hastings June 4, 1934-July 30, 2015 Jurlene "Jeri" Hastings, 81, of Rolling Prairie, Indiana, passed away Thursday July 30, 2015 at her home in Rolling Prairie, IN. She was born June 4, 1934 in Sayersville, Kentucky, the daughter of Jim Wireman and Sally J. (Wireman) Wireman. Jeri had worked twenty-three years for Howmet, retiring in 2002. Jeri loved spending time with her family, reading, and also spending time in her garden and working in the yard. On June 5, 1954, in Rensselaer, IN, she married William F. Hastings who preceded her in death in 1976. She is survived by her two sons, Billy (Kelly) Hastings of Rolling Prairie, IN, Terry Lee Hastings of Rolling Prairie, IN; two grandchildren, William Marcus Hastings of Rolling Prairie, IN, Jordan David Hastings of Rolling Prairie, IN; sister, Emma Jean (Charles) Lovely of Wheatfield, IN; brother, Melvin (Betty) Wireman of Wheatfield, IN; sister-in-law, Carol Wireman of Wheatfield, IN, and many nieces and nephews. Jeri was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers, and five sisters. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Tuesday, August 4, 2015, from 10:00 am. until time of service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Tuesday August 4, 2015 at 11:00 am with Rick Hilton officiating. Interment will follow at the Wills Twp.
