June Rose Wearp June 20, 1934-November 15, 2019 June Rose Wearp, 85, of La Porte, IN, passed away Friday, November 15, 2019 at home in La Porte, IN. She was born June 20, 1934 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Benjamin Johnson and Beatrice (George) Johnson. June Rose enjoyed bowling, working in her garden, and doing crochet. She loved taking her two dogs Porky and Petunia, on walks. June Rose always loved spending time with her family. On February 12, 1956, in California, she married Dwaine Wearp who preceded her in death . She is survived by her two daughters, Darlene (Bob) Mayhall of La Porte, IN; Julie Sapien of Colorado Springs, CO; son, Dale Wearp; sister, Lorraine Ackerson of Kingsford Heights, IN; three grandchildren, Brandi, Michael, and Dan; seven great-grandchildren, Breanna, Courtney, Nicholle, AJ, Jaxon, Greyson, and Hudzon; one great-great-grandchild, Jameson; and I'm told two more on their way. A special "thank you" to Mom's Angel Caregivers Pat and Sharon. June was preceded in death by two brothers, Ben and Wilbur Johnson, three sisters, Edith Evelyn Kelsey, Margaret Moore, and Baby Vera. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Saturday, Nov 23 from 10am until 1pm. A life celebration will take place on Saturday November 23, 2019 at 1pm with Hospice chaplain Pastor Bob from Harbor Light Hospice officiating. Interment will follow at the Patton Cemetery, LaPorte, IN.
