Joy Turner June 3, 1954-February 3, 2017 Joy Turner, 62, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Friday February 3, 2017 at Golden Living Center Fountainview in LaPorte, IN. She was born June 3, 1954 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Donald Tarr and Arlene (Miller) Tarr. Joy enjoyed crafting and playing yuker. On July 29, 1972, in Pinhook, IN, she married Paul R.Turner, who preceded her in death July 30, 2011. She is survived by her mother, Arlene (Miller) Tarr of LaPorte, IN.; two daughters, Zandra (Patrick) Stenkiewicz of Germany,and Trinity (William) Whitmer of Lewisburg, KY; three grandchildren, Grant Romano, Sydney Romano, Iris Hansford; three great-grandchildren, Michael Romano, Sofia Romano, Izzabella Kutch; special little girls, Natalie and Emily Adams. Joy was preceded in death by her father, husband, two brothers, Dennis Tarr and Gregg Tarr, one sister, Valarie Thompson. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN. A Gathering of Friends and Family will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., on Wednesday February 15, 2017 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
