Josephine "Jo" Wallen March 5, 1923-August 9, 2014 Josephine "Jo" Wallen, 91, of La Porte, Indiana, died Saturday August 9, 2014 at her home, in La Porte, IN. She was born March 5, 1923 in Veedersburg, Indiana, the daughter of David Chapell and Viola (Stonebreaker) Chapell. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Josephine volunteered at the Salvation Army for many years. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed dancing and playing cards. Josephine loved to help and visit friends. She loved her family very much. She was married to Raymond Lundgren, who preceded her on May 3, 1977, she was remarried to Edward J. Wallen, who preceded her on August 18, 1990. She is survived by her two daughters, Suella (Curt) Oswald of Union Mills, IN, Cathy Pardee of Fishers, IN; four grandchildren, Howard (Teri) Miller, Stephanie Miller Hill, Carey Miller, and Dana Oswald; three great-grandchildren, Tyler Miller, Lindsay Miller, and Sami Jo Hill. Josephine "Jo" was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Sharon Miller, 1st husband, Raymond H. Lundgren, second husband, Edward J. Wallen, four sisters, and five brothers. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Friday, August 15, 2014 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Friday August 15, 2014 at 12:00 pm with Pastor Roger Cooper, officiating. Interment will follow at the Kingsbury Cemetery, Kingsbury, Indiana.
