Mr. John Trojanowski, 66, of Rolling Prairie, Indiana, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at his home with his family at his side after an eighteen month struggle with brain cancer. He was born August 23, 1943 in LaPorte, Indiana, the son of Stanley Trojanowski and Aleen Cook Trojanowski. John actively worked as a journeyman electrician for Local 531 IBEW for thirty-eight years, retiring in 2006. He was a Veteran of the U. S. Army. He loved refurbishing old cars and attending antique car shows, he was an avid gun collector and enjoyed shooting. John enjoyed spending time remodeling his children's houses, playing cards, watching movies and enjoyed researching and reading, especially the consumer reports. On December 23, 1966, in LaPorte, he married Cecelia Krzyzak, who survives. He is survived by his wife, Cecelia Trojanowski of Rolling Prairie, IN.; two daughters, Lisa Woodson of LaPorte, IN, Tina Trojanowski of LaPorte, IN; son, Todd Trojanowski of LaPorte, IN; three grandchildren, Ashley Woodson of LaPorte, IN, A.J. Woodson of LaPorte, IN, Olivia Trojanowski of LaPorte, IN; sister, Karen Caruso of LaPorte, IN; two brothers, Harry Rosie Trojanowski of LaPorte, IN, Jan Connie Trojanowski of Rolling Prairie, IN John was preceded in death by his parents. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Sunday, November 8, 2009 from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm. A Memorial Service will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Sunday November 8, 2009 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Jay Loucks officiating. Cremation has taken place.
