John Marquart

Mr. John R. Marquart, age 57, of Dolton, Ill Formerly of LaPorte, Ind., died Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at his residence in Dolton, Ill. He was born on October 19, 1950 in LaPorte, Ind. to the late Raymond Marquart and the late Mildred Wheatbrook Marquart-Costello. Also preceded in death was a sister, Elaine Marek, and a step-father, Kenneth Costello, and a niecw, Christine Buerger. On September 7, 1985 in Hammond, IN, he married Susan DeRolf, who Survives John was a proud alumnus of Valparaiso University and worked in finance for much of his life. He had a passion for history and was an avid Bears and Cubs fan. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Susan DeRolf Marquart of South Holland, Ill. One Daughter, Michelle Marquart and his dog Buddy of South Holland, Ill. One Sister, Mrs. Marilyn Robert Buerger of La Porte, Ind. He has a Nephew, Stephen Pam Hadella, and a Nephew, David Buerger, and several Nieces and Nephews. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM Monday, July 21, 2008.
