John Klooster

Dr. John Edwin Klooster, age 81, of La Porte, IN, died Friday, March 31, 2006, at LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, IN. He was born April 22, 1924, in Chicago, IL, to Cornelius Klooster and Estella Greer Klooster, who has preceded. Also preceded is a sister, Effie Marie Row. On February 23, 1947 in Muskegon, Michigan he was married to Audrey VanBeukering, who survives. Dr. Klooster was Self-employed as a Dentist / Orthodontist, and was a member of Seventh-Day Adventist Church. He is a Veteran of the US Air Force Captain in the Medical Dental Corps. during the late 1950's, Past President of LaPorte Co. Dental Society, Kiwanis, past president of NASADAD Nat'l Assoc. of Seventh Day Adventist Dentists He had been a Sabbath School teacher, an elder & Board member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Surviving is his wife Mrs. Audrey VanBeukering Klooster, of LaPorte, IN, One Daughter, Janet Lee Klooster of Sanford, FL, One Son, Mr. John Conrad Amy Klooster of Carmel, IN, One Sister, Mrs. Elizabeth "Betty" Lloyd Kidder of Candler, N.C. Mr. Klooster has two grandaughters, Brittany Anne Klooster, and Danielle Vivian Klooster, both from Carmel, IN. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN, where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday, April 5, 2006, at the Funeral Home, and Thursday April 6, 2006 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM until time of service at the Seveth-Day Adventist Church. Funeral service will be at Seventh-Day Adventist Church at 3:00 PM Thursday, April 6, 2006 , with Rev. Wayne Morrison officiating. Burial of ashes will take place at Salem Chapel Cemetery in Salem Heights, IN, at a later date.
