John Bellis

Mr. John R. Bellis, age 52, of Rolling Prairie, Ind., died 1:45 PM Thursday, April 20, 2006, at LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, Ind. He was born January 28, 1954 in LaPorte, Ind. to the late Raymond Bellis, Sr. and the late Minnie Green Bellis, and he has lived in the Rolling Prairie area all of his life. Mr. Bellis was self-employed painter. He was a Chicago Cubs fan, Notre Dame Football fan and enjoyed fishing. He is survived by Two Daughters, Mrs. Candi Brown of Michigan City, Ind., Mrs. Paula Staback of New Buffalo, Mich., Two grandchildren, Nathaniel Hatch and Xavier Brown both of Michigan City, Ind.; Two Sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Hayes of North Carolina, Mrs. Edith Ed Kraus of La Porte, Ind.; Three Brothers, Mr. Robert Wheaton of La Porte, Ind., Mr. Delbert Louise Wheaton of La Porte, Ind., and Mr. Raymond Juanita Bellis of Springville, Ind. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday, April 23, 2006 and 10:00 AM Monday April 24, 2006 until time of the service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Monday, April 24, 2006, Rev. Fred Miller Sr. officiating. Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Mill Creek, Ind.
