John Michael Adkins August 12, 1989-December 25, 2016 Mr. John Michael Adkins, 27, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Sunday December 25, 2016 in South Bend, IN. He was born August 12, 1989 in DeMotte, Indiana, the son of Richard A. Adkins and Jana S. (Carleton) Adkins. He enjoyed working on vehicles, getting trucks stuck in the mud, fishing and spending time with friends and family. He was a devoted and loving father. He is survived by his son, Jason Michael Adkins; father, Richard A. Adkins; brother, Troy R. Adkins; grandmother, Barbara Yukcono. John was preceded in death by his mother Jana Adkins, grandparents Helen Carleton John Carleton and Frank D. Adkins. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Friday, December 30, 2016, 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Friday December 30, 2016 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Bill Barnes, officiating.
