Joel Larson

Mr. Joel A. Larson, age 58, of La Porte, IN, died Tuesday, September 12, 2006, at Decedent's Residence in La Porte, IN. He was born April 30, 1948 in LaPorte, IN to Orlie Larson and Minnie Wondergem Larson, who has preceded. Mr. Larson has lived all of his life in the LaPorte area. Mr. Larson was employed by Federal Mogal-South Bend, IN, and was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church. He was also a Veteran of US Army during the Viet Nam Era. He was a Member of American Legion Post #83, he enjoyed Blues Music, mushroom hunting, loved the outdoors, loved automobiles and fishing. Surviving is his One Daughter, Mrs. Lisa K. Christopher Hicks of La Porte, IN, One Son, Mr. Jason Larson of Carbondale, Ill. One Sister, Mrs. Jean Skinner of La Porte, IN, Two Brothers, Mr. Erv Karen Larson of Bridgeman, MI, Mr. Dave Suzi Larson of La Porte, IN, and Two grandchildren, Brooke Hicks, Bailey Hicks Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, September 15, 2006, and from 10:00 AM until time of service, Saturday September 16, 2006. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 16, 2006 , with Rev. Dennis Meyer officiating. Interment will be at Carmel Cemetery in LaPorte, IN.
