Joan Horine

Mrs. Joan Kathleen Letz Horine, age 69, of La Porte, Ind., died Sunday, June 5, 2005, at Decedent's Residence in La Porte, IN. She was born July 27, 1935 in Michigan City, Indiana, to Vernon Loetz and Catherine Merkel Loetz Who has preceeded. Mrs. Horine lived most of her life in the LaPorte area, most from the area of New Mexico, returning in 1986. On September 20, 1951 in Westville, IN, she was married to Carter R. Metheny, who preceded, June 17, 1992. Her second marriage: Married in October 6, 1973, in Michigan City, IN, to Glen Horine, who preceded, June 5, 1988. Mrs. Horine was a Homemaker, She enjoyed traveling and being outdoors, Also loved life with her family and going to fairs and festivals. She is survived by her One Son, Mr. Bud J. Patty Metheny of La Porte, IN, Seven Sisters, Mrs. Rosalee Stingley of Readyville, Tenn, Mrs. Mary Etta Mitio of Michigan City, IN, Mrs. Helen Daniels of Rensselaer, IN, Mrs. Evelyn Leslie of La Porte, IN, Mrs. Beverly Robert Ferguson of La Porte, IN, Mrs. Lillian Fowler of Michigan City, IN, Mrs. Delores Ilgenfritz of Hesperia, Calif. One Brother, Mr. Lawrence Wilma Loetz of Trail Creek IN, Mrs. Horine has Four grandchildren, and Four great-grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, June 9, 2005. And Friday June 10, 2005 from 9:00 AM until time of service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Friday, June 10, 2005 with Pastor Ricky Bray officiating.
