Jo Carolyn Drake December 23, 1938-August 1, 2013 Jo Carolyn Drake, 74, of LaPorte, Indiana, died Thursday August 1, 2013 at Kindred Hospital of Northern Indiana in Mishawaka, IN. She was born December 23, 1938 in Rosie, Arkansas, the daughter of Arthur J. Gower and Jewell (Dodd) Gower. Jo Carolyn was a member of Agape Christian Church, and ASPCA. She enjoyed gardening and sewing. Jo Carolyn especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. On June 15, 1957, in LaPorte, IN, she married Daniel C. Drake who survives. She is also survived by her son - Daniel A. (Angela) Drake of La Porte, IN; 2 daughters - Karen Sue Drake of La Porte, IN, and Pamela J. (Bobby) Schoch of Rolling Prairie, IN; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; 2 sisters - Dortha Sue Gower of La Porte, IN, and Mary Kay (Jim) Barkow of La Porte, IN. Jo Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and great-granddaughter, Kali Schoch. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN The family will receive friends at the Agape Christian Church 1601 "I" St. LaPorte, IN. on Monday, August 5, 2013 from 1:00 pm, until time of service. A life celebration will be held at Agape Christian Church, Monday August 5, 2013 at 2:00 pm with Wes Spain officiating. Interment will follow at the Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana.
