Jessie A. Daniel April 5, 1916-August 17, 2013 Mrs. Jessie A. Daniel, 97, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Saturday August 17, 2013 at her home, after a brief illness. She was born April 5, 1916 in Dyer Co, Tennessee, the daughter of Enman McKnight and Lola (Wilson) McKnight. Jessie had worked for Schafer's Laundry for 20 years and also worked and retired from American Home Foods. Jessie was a wonderful mother and grandmother. On December 9, 1934, in Caruthersville, MO, she married Clyde Daniel who preceded her in death April 25, 1997. She is survived by her son - Charles (Mary) Daniel, Sr.; 2 daughters - Judy (Butch) McPherson, Patricia (Gary) Collings all of La Porte, IN; 15 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; 13 great-great grandchildren, and many brothers and sisters. Jessie was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 3 sons, Thomas, Robert and Gerald Daniel. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Tuesday, August 20, 2013 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Wednesday, August 21, 2013 10:00 am, until time of service, A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at 11:00 am ,with Rev.
