Jerry T. Logmann October 31, 1950-November 5, 2014 Mr. Jerry T. Logmann, 64, of La Porte, Indiana, died Wednesday November 5, 2014 at his home in La Porte, IN. He was born October 31, 1950 in LaPorte, Indiana, the son of Jerry F. Logmann and Jeanne (Sarver) Logmann. Jerry was a member of CISV (Children's International Summer Village), he graduated from Elston High School Class of 1968 in Michigan City, IN, and a graduate of Purdue University Class 1972 in Lafayette, Indiana. He taught in elementary schools in Michigan City for 30 years. He was a non-medical caregiver in LaPorte for 2 years at JNR Senior Care, also worked at Interroyal, Purdue University as a graduate assistant, Purdue University North Central as a librarian, and at Arndt Orchards as a apple picker. Jerry enjoyed spending time on his computer, doing movies, reading an odd book. He enjoyed his 2 cats and three dogs. Jerry enjoyed and loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren. On August 13, 1977, in Michigan City, IN, he married Nancy Hastings Logmann who preceded in death October 21, 2006. He is survived by his two sons, Joshua Walter Logmann of Niles, MI, Brock Alexander Logmann of La Porte, IN; two grandchildren, Gavin Logmann, and Makenzie Logmann; one brother, Matthew Logmann of Hammond, IN; two sisters, Linda Lane of La Porte, IN, Christina Logmann of San Juan, CA. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, and wife. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Wednesday, November 12, 201 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Thursday, November 13, 2014, from 10:00 am, until time of service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Thursday November 13, 2014 at 11:00 am with Rev. Bill Barnes officiating.
