Jerry Hamlin Sr.

Jerry A Hamlin February 25, 1942-November 5, 2015 Jerry A. Hamlin Sr., 73, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Thursday November 5, 2015 at Miller's Health and Rehab in LaPorte, IN. He was born February 25, 1942 in Anderson, Alabama, the son of Austin Hamlin and Hildred (Johnson) Hamlin. Retired tow truck driver for All Star Towing and worked for them the last 13 years. Jerry enjoyed gardening, hunting, cooking, working on cars and spending time with his family. On February 17, 1961, in Walkerton, IN, he married Nora J. (Clifton) Hamlin who survives. He is also survived by his two daughters, Teresa (Rex) Cox of Lawrenceburg, KY, April J. (Joey) Goyda of La Porte, IN; two sons, Timmy A. Hamlin of La Porte, IN, Jerry A. (Lori) Hamlin Jr. of La Porte, IN; two grandchildren, Kenny Veal, Tyler Salo; brother, Larry Hamlin of Stroud, OK. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, son, James Allen Hamlin and a brother, James Austin Hamlin. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN where the family will receive friends Tuesday, November 10, 2015, 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Tuesday November 10, 2015 at 3:00 pm with Pastor David Adams officiating. Cremation will follow with burial of ashes at a later date in Patton Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the family of Jerry Hamlin.
