Jerre Anne Deutscher September 7, 1931-August 31, 2014 Mrs. Jerre Anne Deutscher, 82, of Rolling Prairie, Indiana, died Sunday August 31, 2014 at Franciscan Communities Hospice in MIchigan City, IN. She was born September 7, 1931 in St. Joseph, Missouri, the daughter of Lawrence Blankenship and Violet (Randolph) Blankenship. Jerre worked as a office clerk/receptionist for LaPorte 'I" St. Clinic. She supported 4-H, her children were members for 20+ years, she assisted with the farming, and supported her children in their school actitivites. Jerre enjoyed sewing, traveling with childhood friends, bowling, and story/joke telling and she loved her maltese "Tucker". On November 25, 1949, in Michigan City, IN, she married Henry W. Deutscher who preceded in death September 28, 1995. She is survived by her three daughters, Gayle Leslie Argenzio of La Porte, IN, Jean (Ken) Miller of Carmel, IN, Sharon (Bud Will) McGuire of La Porte, IN; three sons, Bill (Lisa) Deutscher of Rolling Prairie, IN, Roy (Cindy) Deutscher of Rolling Prairie, IN, Rodney Zeedyk of BirminghamAL; fifteen grandchildren, Michael (Dawn) Miller, Jeff Miller, Faye (David) Adams, Tom (April) Argenzio, Ty McGuire, Scott (Kara) McGuire, Joshua Deutscher, Lindsey Deutscher, Ashley (Rich) Kroeger, Todd Deutscher, Erica (Mike) Burcham, Kryie (Tim) Gielow, Kayla Robinson, Zach Blakeman, Marissa Blakeman; fifteen great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren, and one brother, William R. (Jeanene) Blankenship of Fort Myers, FL. Jerre was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother, Robert Blankenship. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Wednesday, September 3, 2014 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Thursday, September 4, 2014 10:00 am until time of the service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Thursday September 4, 2014 at 11:00 am with Pastor Pam Paske, officiating. Interment will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery, Mill Creek, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Franciscan Communities Hospice of Michigan City, IN .
