Jerome Gabryszak, Sr. April 26, 1932-June 3, 2014 Mr. Jerome "Gabby" Gabryszak, Sr., 82, of La Porte, Indiana, died Tuesday June 3, 2014 at his home. He was born April 26, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Joseph Gabryszak and Theresa (Mazurkiewicz) Gabryszak. Jerome worked as a boiler maker for Union Local I. He was a member of PNA and Gleaners. He was an assistant scout master for Troop #750, and a past member of Isaac Walton. Jerome enjoyed building things with his hands. On March 2, 1957, in Chicago, IL, he married Josephine A.Majewski Gabryszak who survives. He is also survived by his wife, Josephine A. Gabryszak of LaPorte, IN., two sons, Jerome Gabryszak, Jr. of Valparaiso, IN, John Gabryszak of Valparaiso, IN; daughter, Joann Gabryszak of LaPorte, IN; two grandchildren. Jerome was preceded in death by his parents, son, James Gabryszak, one brother, Joseph Gabryszak, one sister, Delores Perry. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN where the family will receive friends Thursday, June 5, 2014 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. A Graveside Service will be held at St. John Kanty Catholic Cemetery, Friday June 6, 2014 at 10:00 am with Rev. Michael Heimer officiating. Interment will follow at the St. John Kanty Cemetery, Rolling Prairie, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Donor's Choice.
