Jerome Durham

Jerome Durham October 24, 1937-December 21, 2015 Mr. Jerome Durham, 78, of Walkerton, Indiana, passed away Monday December 21, 2015 at Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital. He was born October 24, 1937 in Evansville, Indiana, the son of Iva (Durham) Herrmann. Jerome attended the Baptist Church in DoSota, Missouri. His first job was at Shelton Farms. Jerome had also worked at Bosie Cascade and at General Electric, Lamp Factory. Jerome's first car was bright yellow. He enjoyed reading, and doing puzzles. Jerome was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed going camping and hunting. Jerome also loved to do yard work. On September 30, 2000, in LaPorte, IN, he married Edna (Hammon) Durham who survives. He is also survived by his four sons, Jerry Durham of Evansville, IN, Carl Durham of Evansville, IN, Herbie (Sandy) Durham of Evansville, IN, and Daniel (Tiffany) Durham of Bloomington, IN; three daughters, Desiree Largent of Evansville, IN, Bridget (Vance) Townes of Manchester, MO, Mary (Chris) Tennyson of Pacific, MO; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and best friend, Jack Carter and family. Jerome was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Ronald and Teddy, and sister, Carmalita. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN where the family will receive friends Wednesday, December 30, 2015 from 10:00 am until time of service. A Memorial Service will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Wednesday December 30, 2015 at 12:00 pm with Rev. Scotty Robertson, officiating.
