Jennifer Martin, 42, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Thursday November 12, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family in La Porte, IN.

She was born October 30, 1978 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Claude Martin Sr.and Valarie (Tarr) Thompson.

Jennifer enjoyed going to the casino, playing poker and Pokemon. She was always organizing annual cruises for her and her friends. Going to the beach was passion of hers. She loved her puppies as well.

Jennifer is survived by her father Claude (Vickie) Martin Sr. of Fish Lake, IN; Step-Father Timothy (Carrie Ross) Thompson of Mooresville, NC; sister, Angela Ann (Ryan) Pettis of La Porte, IN; two brothers, Jonathan (Rebecca Charlson) Jacobsen of La Porte, IN, Claude (Crystal Sult) Martin, Jr. of New Carlisle, IN; Bother, Christopher Martin of Denver, CO; several nieces and nephews.

Jennifer was preceded in death by mother Valarie Thompson and a brother William James.

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Tuesday November 17, 2020 from 2 pm until service time at 3 PM.  A life celebration will be held at 3 PM, at the funeral home with Josh Butts officiating Family Reflections. Cremation has taken place.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in Jennifer's name in care of Haverstock Funeral Home. The family set up a "Go-Fund-Me" account as well.

Due to COVID-19 masks are required to attend the services.
