Jennie Hill

Mrs. Jennie A. Hill, 86, of 2002 Andrew Ave. formerly of 310 I St., LaPorte, died Tues. Nov. 23, 2004, at 1:30 p.m. at Fountainview Terrace, LaPorte, IN. She was born Sept. 28, 1918, in Pleasant Twp. of LaPorte Co., to Allen and Maude Camper Moore, and has life in this area most of her life. Mrs. Hill was a homemaker, and worked at the K.O.P during W.W. II. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of LaPorte, a Graduate of Kingsbury High School and a former member of the Dosie Doe Square Dance Club of Michigan City. On Jan. 16, 1938, in LaPorte, she married Fred Hill, who preceded in death June 11, 2003. Also preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, George and Earl Moore; and one sister Mildred Meier. Surviving are one son, Mr. Allen Marilyn Hill of LaPorte; three grandchildren, Lori Hill, Mark Hill and Scott Hill all of LaPorte; and one sister, Mrs. Gladys Larson of LaPorte. The funeral will be Friday at 12:00 Noon at the Haverstock Funeral Home, LaPorte, with Rev. Doug Ohime officiating. Friends may call from 9 am Friday until time of the service.
