Mr. JB Stacy, 71, of La Porte, Indiana, died Monday January 4, 2010 at La Porte Hospital. He was born May 21, 1938 in Jackson, Kentucky, the son of Earl Stacy and Patsy Miller Stacy. JB worked for Kingsley Furniture for forty years, retiring in 1995. JB enjoyed hunting, gardening, playing horse shoes and spending time with his family. On June 25, 1960, in Knox, IN, he married Shirley Vires, who survives. He is also survived by his daughter, Sherry Swango Clemons of Jackson, KY; son, Michael Sherry Stacy of La Porte, IN; four grandchildren, Sara and Patsy Stacy of LaPorte, IN., Charlene and Travis Clemons of Jackson, KY. one great-grandaughter, Jayme Lofton of LaPorte, IN.; six brothers, Ellis Madalene Stacy of Salyersville, KY, Charles Dayna Stacy of LaPorte, IN, Thurman Judy Stacy of Jackson, KY, Shelby Mary Stacy of Jackson, KY, Earl Barbara Stacy of LaPorte, IN, Clifford Marjorie Stacy of Union Mills, IN; five sisters, Gladys George Howard of LaPorte, IN, Hazel Farley Mullins of LaPorte, IN, Nancy Ritchie of LaPorte, IN, Rose John Mullins of LaPorte, IN, Lesa Kent Vallo of Portage, IN. JB was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers; Henry, Murlan, Harlan and Joe Stacy. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Thursday, January 7, 2010 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm & Friday, January 8, 2010 from 10:00 am, until time of services. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Friday January 8, 2010 at 11:00 AM with Mr. Farley Mullins officiating. Interment will follow at the Kingsbury Cemetery, Kingsbury, Indiana.
