Janet C. Young December 7, 1949-April 28, 2017 Janet C. Young, 67, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Friday, April 28, 2017 at Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital. She was born December 7, 1949 in La Porte, Indiana, to the late Roy D. and Mildred B. (Ritter) Young. Janet retired as a self-employed beautician. She was a member of the Polish Falcons Nest 564 in La Porte. She is survived by her son, Robert E. (Skye) Payne III of La Porte, IN; brother, Roy Young of Merrillville, IN; three sisters, Gail (Harold) Spaid of California, Betty Miller of La Porte, IN, Karen (Tom) Barnhart of La Porte, IN; two granddaughters, Sydney Payne and McKenna Payne both of La Porte, IN. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN. A life celebration will be held at Pine Lake Cemetery, Tuesday May 2, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Brian White officiating. Interment will follow at the Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana.
