Janet Hahn

Mrs. Janet L. Hahn, 63 of 800 Michigan Ave. LaPorte, Indiana died Saturday November 13, 2004 at 12:30p.m. At LaPorte Hospital. She was born February 28, 1941 in LaPorte, Indiana to Harold and Short Wilson. Mrs. Hahn lived in the LaPorte area for 6 years, coming from Elkhart, Indiana. On August 29, 1970 in LaPorte, Indiana she was married to Dennis Hahn, who proceeded, July 17, 1997. Mrs. Hahn worked at T.P. Orthodontic lab as an assembler; she was a graduate of the Ivy Tech program in Gary, Indiana and received her license as a LPN in 1961. She had been a practical nurse for many years, having worked for Dr. Smith, Dr. Datzman, and Dr. Lansford in LaPorte, IN. Mrs. Hahn was a member of the Women?s Moose Lodge, Michigan City #935 and VFW Women?s Auxiliary #1130 of LaPorte, and Women?s Auxiliary American Legion #83 of LaPorte. She enjoyed cross-stitching, quilting and going on picnics, she loved the fall colors in the fall season. Preceded in death was her father, Mr. Harold Wilson. Surviving is her mother, Mrs. Ruth Wilson of LaPorte, IN, a son Mr. Greg Hahn of South Bend, IN, a sister Mrs. Kim Rick Lunce of LaPorte, IN, a niece Kristin Bond of LaPorte, IN, a nephew Nicholas Lunce of LaPorte, IN, a special best friend, Gene Peters of LaPorte, IN, and a granddaughter Brooklyn Hahn of New Paris, IN. The Funeral will be Thursday November 18, 2004 at 10:30a.m. At Haverstock Funeral Home, LaPorte, with Rev. Rick Abbott officiating. Friends may call Wednesday November 17, 2004 from 1:00 to 8:00p.m. And from 8:00a.m. Thursday at Haverstock Funeral Home until time of service. Burial will be in Patton Cemetery, LaPorte, IN.
