Jane Smith

Jane M. Smith, 71, of South Bend, IN, passed away on Tuesday April 26, 2011 at Rivercrest Specialty Hospital in Mishawaka, IN. She was born May 18, 1939 in LaPorte, Indiana, the daughter of Edward M. Davis and Katherine (Foutz) Davis. Jane moved with her parents to South Bend in 1966. On April 15, 1967, in LaPorte, IN, she married Donald Smith who survives. She is also survived by her children, Heidi, Steve, and Scott of South Bend, and Alison Smith of Tampa, Fl. Jane was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, and her brother, Ted Davis. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN where the family will receive friends Thursday, April 28, 2010 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm. C.D.T. A Private Family Service will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Friday April 29, 2011 with Rev. Dorothy Jones, officiating. Cremation will take place with a burial at a later date.
