Jane Siford

Mrs. Jane E. Traver Siford, age 88, of La Porte, IN, died Monday, November 28, 2005, at LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, IN. She was born January 4, 1917 in Chicago, IL, to Carl Traver and Alida Bitner Traver, who has preceded. Also preceded in death are four brothers. Mrs. Siford has lived most of her life in the LaPorte, area. In 1937, she was married to Robert D. Siford in LaPorte, Indiana, he preceded in 1982. Mrs. Siford was employed by Miracle Ear and was a member of First United Methodist Church. She Received Top Salesman of the year award for selling cars, sold for Bobby Magnuson Dealership in the 1960's. She was the first women car salesman in the area. played golf, former Elks Lodge member, loved being Grandmother, Mother, Great-grandmother. She is also survived by her Two Sons, Mr. Jack Siford of La Porte, IN, Mr. Robert "Butch" Grace Siford of Rolling Prairie, IN, Five grandchildren, Eleven great-grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN, where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, November 30, 2005, and Thursday December 1, 2005 from 9:00 AM until time of service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 1, 2005 , with Rev. David Tripp officiating.
