Jana Adkins

Mrs. Jana Adkins, 42, of La Porte, Indiana, died Saturday April 25, 2009 at La Porte Hospital in La Porte, IN. She was born September 9, 1966 in Waukegan, Illinois, the daughter of John Carleton and Helen Ross Carleton, living in the LaPorte area, for thirteen years, coming from Demont, IN. Jana was a homemaker; she attended the Heartland Christian Center. Jana loved to go fishing and enjoyed riding her motorcycle. She loved animals and spending time with her family. On August 1, 1987, in Munster, IN, she married Richard Adkins who survives. She is also survived by her; mother, Helen Carleton of LaPorte, IN; sons, John Adkins of LaPorte, IN. and Troy Adkins of LaPorte, IN; sisters, Debra Ron Vlietstra of La Porte, IN, Kim Fasano of Joilet, Il. nieces, Jennifer Tom Lane of LaPorte, IN. and Christy Mark Satoski of LaPorte, IN.; nephews, Anthony Jessica Fasano of Joliet, IL and Nick Fasano of Frankford, IL. Jana was preceded in death by her father, John Carleton and sister, Cindy Carleton. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Tuesday, April 28, 2009 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Tuesday April 28, 2009 at 1:00 PM with Rev.Joseph Loftis officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana.
