James Walker Sr.

Mr. James E. Walker, Sr., age 66, of Michigan City, Ind., died Tuesday, March 21, 2006, at 2:25 AM at St. Anthony Hospital in Michigan City, Ind. He was born October 5, 1939 in Michigan City, Ind. to the late Clarence Walker and the late Nina Wines Walker. He has lived most of his life in the LaPorte county area. Mr. Walker was employed by Michigan City School Corp. at the Springfield Elementary School as a Custodian. He retired in 2005 after 8 years with the school. He enjoyed hunting, making people laugh, yard work and he loved his family. On June 16, 1995 in Michigan City, Ind. he married Deborah Nall who survives. He is also survived by his Three Daughters, Mrs. Kathy Richard Crum of Michigan City, Ind., Lynette Walker of La Porte, Ind., Mrs. Marilyn Gordon Peterek of Three Oaks, Mich.; One Son, Mr. James E. Selena Walker, Jr. of La Porte, Ind.; Eight grandchildren; Seven great-grandchildren; Three Sisters, Mrs. Shirley Johnson of Kingsford Heights, Ind., Mrs. Pat Bob Peters of La Porte, Ind., Mrs. Charlotte Jim Ackerman of La Porte, Ind.; Three Brothers, Mr. Gene Loretta Walker of La Porte, Ind., Mr. Richard Teresa Walker of La Porte, Ind., Mr. Steve Katie Walker of La Porte, Ind.; and his ex-wife Marian Krout Walker. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM Friday, March 24, 2006. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 2:00 PM Friday, March 24, 2006. Interment will be at Pine Lake Cemetery in LaPorte, Ind.
