James Vinsek

Mr. James T. Vinsek, 66, of La Porte, Indiana, died Tuesday March 24, 2009 at LaPorte Hospital in LaPorte, IN. He was born January 14, 1943 in LaPorte, Indiana, the son of Leslie Vinsek and Gladys Irwin Vinsek Poff and he lived in the LaPorte, IN., area, all of his life. James worked as a store manager for New York Carpet World in Merrillville, IN. He was a Veteran of the US Arny during Peacetime and a member of the American Legion Post #83 of LaPorte, IN. James loved to go fishing and being with his friends, he also enjoyed model cars, motorcycles and playing on the computer.. He was raised by his parents, Gladys and Ralph Poff of La Porte, IN, who survive along with a daughter, Michele Dziaba of Mundelein, IL, son, Greg Clark of Fort Myers, FL; one grandson; and one brother, Thomas J. Vinsek of LaPorte, IN, James was preceded in death by his father, Leslie Vinsek. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Friday, March 27, 2009 from 10:00am - 12:00 pm. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., March 27, 2009 at 12:00 pm with Rev. Ian Williams, officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte, IN.
