James "Casey" D. Kasinger Jr. April 19, 1963-August 23, 2018 James "Casey" D. Kasinger Jr., 55, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital. He was born April 19, 1963 in Michigan City, Indiana, the son of James D. Kasinger Sr. of Michigan City and Linda L.(Keeler) Kasinger. James worked as a track laborer for the Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District. He enjoyed riding Motorcycles and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. On November 28, 1981, in La Porte, Indiana, he married Clessie (Jewell) Kasinger who survives in La Porte, Indiana. He is also survived by his four daughters, Jeanetta (Scott) Singleton of Alamogordo, NM, Julie (Tim) McIntosh of La Porte, IN, Samantha (Dustin Searing) Kasinger of La Porte, IN, Jamie (Michael Leets) Owen of La Porte, IN; eight grandchildren, Sunshine, Jewell, Payton, Thomas, Cacey, Lilyann, Chanstin, Rarity; brother, Elmer "Buddy" (Norma) Kasinger of La Porte, IN; two sisters, Delona (Roger) Beadles of La Porte, IN, Geta (Ernest) Thomas of Marion, AR. James "Casey" was preceded in death by his mother and his son-in-law, Neil Owen. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN where the family will receive friends Sunday, August 26, 2018, 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and Monday, August 27, 2018, 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Monday, August 27, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with Minister Clarence Lowe officiating. Interment will follow at the Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the family of James D.
